Revamping the official Caterpillar online store to create a fresh look and feel

ShopCaterpillar is the official store for the global Caterpillar brand. They work closely with their official distributor, MPC Promotions, to sell Cat branded apparel, gifts, gear, accessories, and more through their online store. They needed their storefront to be updated to match current-year design standards, a retooling of their site's information architecture and to stand alongside other Cat-vendor digital platforms.

Having worked with our agency on other projects, I had the opportunity to work directly with MPC promotions as well as Cat corporate to design a new storefront which matches the dynamic and scale of the brand while updating them to current standards. I was tasked with designing the new storefront by working with content strategists and developers to transform their storefront into something that catches the eyes of the Caterpillar audience.

I was tasked with following and respecting the parent brand identity by incorporating their logos, color palette, typography, and brand elements such as official photography and patterns from their pattern library. We applied a fresh new take on their identity by utilizing the tools that were provided and turned it into something worth talking about while optimizing the content structure so that people can find what they're looking for and buy it with little to no friction.
